Support the USS Iowa SSN 797
We are raising a minimum of $500,000 from individuals, corporations, and public funds to ensure the christening and commissioning activities can be fully implemented and that the crew and families of USS IOWA are compassionately supported during the long deployments of up to twelve months with little to no family or community communication during this time.
A donation in support of the USS Iowa is an impactful and meaningful way to show support for this historical event – only the 4th time in our nation’s history that a submarine will bear the name Iowa.
Donors at the $2,500 level and above will be invited to various christening and commissioning activities in addition to program, website and other visible recognition.

The Commissioning Committee’s sole purpose is to fund the events leading up to the commissioning ceremony events and expenses that the US Navy is not allowed to pay for. All contributions will be used to provide an outstanding commissioning and to the benefit of all who serve aboard the USS IOWA in years to come.
